Cali counts with 7 rivers, each with its own history and characteristics. The first edition of the 7RíosFest will intervene in the Cali river, main lung for the city, where more than 420 tons of waste are thrown each year. The objective is to make the 7 river basins the integrative axis of ecological action in the city, and making the 7RíosFest the most important ecological event in Colombia. Coordinating the interventions in each of the rivers requires a joint effort from the city council, the citizenship, NGOs and the educative and economic sectors. We intend to offer training to the community, visits and direct actions on the rivers, as well as conferences and cultural activities.
